Orientation Day for the 2026 Sep Intake

The IFYP Orientation Day 2026 welcomed new students with a day of learning, connection, and discovery.

The day began with a speech by Prof. Catherine Sun (Senior Vice President of HKSYU), Ms Sophia Yip (Associate Vice President), and Dr. Michelle Chan (Director of the IFYP). Students were then introduced to the student services at the university. To foster a safe learning environment, the programme invited the Hong Kong Police Force to offer an Anti-Deception Talk.

In the afternoon, students were also introduced to the Halal App developed by Dr. Philip Lee, who explained how the app gathered reliable information and provided useful information for students. Followed by all the introductory events, students attended a lively Survival Cantonese class hosted by the Language Centre, where they practiced useful phrases and expressions.
